Just by virtue of enrolling a child at Community, all parents become members of the Community Family Association. Much like a PTA, the CFA is tasked with ensuring all the wonderful events and activities that make Community special continue. Our mission is simple:
- Plan great events: From our Fall Fest to our End of School Picnic we are working on a variety of social and cultural events that are geared for the whole family.
- Create opportunities for giving back: How can we support our Community families, school, and our community as a whole? We want to start modeling volunteerism & service for our children and we believe it can have a huge impact in our children’s worldview.
- Bring families together as a cohesive community: Despite our different backgrounds, jobs and languages, we are a school family who cares deeply about our children, coming together with a strong shared interest. We want to make it even stronger!
Being a part of the CFA is a great way to make a difference for the school and each child’s learning environment. All parents have the opportunity to work with and get to know other parents while serving the school and greater community at the same time. This year, more than ever, we need your time and talent.
